Editorial Policy

This page explains how Storyline UK creates its content and the standards we hold it to.

What we publish

Entertainment news and features for UK readers: movie and TV news, streaming launches and weekly charts, celebrity news, explainers, endings explained, ranked lists, and trailer coverage.

Sourcing

Confirmed stories are based on official studio, streamer and broadcaster announcements, published release calendars and listings, and interviews given by cast and creators. Where a reputable outlet reported a story first, we credit it in the article and link to the original report. Trailers and videos are embedded from the official channel or rights holder wherever one exists.

Rumours and reporting on real people

Entertainment news moves fast, and not everything circulating is true. Stories without official confirmation are always labelled as rumours in the headline or first paragraph, and we never present a rumour, a fan theory or our own speculation as fact. We take particular care with stories about real people: we do not publish unverified claims about anyone’s private life, health or relationships, and we never fabricate quotes.

Independence

Our coverage reflects our own honest judgement. Advertising funds the Site but never buys coverage, and we do not publish paid or sponsored content disguised as editorial. Any commercial relationship would be disclosed clearly.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and, where the error was material, note the correction in the article. See our Corrections page, or report an error via the Contact page.

Images

Our brand artwork is original. Article imagery is original or properly licensed; we do not lift publicity stills, screenshots or video frames and pass them off as our own.
