Corrections
We aim for accuracy in everything we publish. When we get something wrong, this page explains how we put it right.
How to report an error
Email us via the Contact page with the link to the article and a note of what looks wrong. Reports from readers, studios and representatives are all read and checked against our sources.
How we correct
- Minor errors (typos, a wrong date in a listing, a misspelt name) are fixed in place as soon as they are confirmed.
- Material errors (a wrong fact a reader might rely on — a release date, a casting, a chart position) are fixed in place and noted at the foot of the article with the date of the correction.
- Stories that turn out to be wrong are updated prominently, and where a story should not have been published at all, it is removed and the removal is acknowledged.
Updates vs corrections
Entertainment stories develop: a release date moves, a rumour is confirmed, a chart is revised. Developing stories are updated with the new information and an “Updated” timestamp — that is an update, not a correction, and the article history stays visible in the text.
